The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night with a 106-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Dallas. The Celtics are now just one win away from their 18th championship.
Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 29 points, while Jaylen Brown added 27 points. Kristaps Porzingis missed the game for Dallas with a leg injury, and his absence was felt as the Mavericks struggled to score consistently.
The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics were able to hold them off. Luka Doncic led Dallas with 30 points, but he was the only Mavericks player to score in double figures.
The Celtics will now have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Friday night in Dallas. The Mavericks will need to win to force a Game 5.
