Celtics Take Early Lead in NBA Finals

The Boston Celtics have taken an early lead in the NBA Finals after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1. The Celtics led by as many as 29 points during the game and never trailed.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 22 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 19 points and Al Horford with 15 points. Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 24 points, but he was unable to keep up with the Celtics' offensive onslaught.

The Celtics' defense was also impressive, holding the Mavericks to just 37.5% shooting from the field. The Mavericks also struggled from the free throw line, making just 14 of their 23 attempts.

The Celtics will now have a chance to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Mavericks in Game 2 on Sunday.
